Hearts of Gold

Niton UK has recently delivered a Thermo Scientific™ Niton™ DXL XRF countertop analyser to a charity that sits very close to their hearts.

The charity funds over £100 million of research each year into all heart and circulatory diseases and the things that cause them.

As part of their fundraising efforts, the charity receives large quantities of donated jewellery and precious metals from house clearances and unwanted gifts. The analyser will be used by the charity to authenticate the jewellery donated, to raise money on their eBay shop. The money raised will go towards funding the research to beat heart disease, for good.

The Niton DXL XRF analyser is a countertop gold tester that delivers an exceptionally fast and precise XRF-based analysis for gold, silver and other precious metals.

Elegantly designed specifically for countertop use in retail environments, yet portable and rugged for use in remote testing locations, the Niton DXL gold tester and precious metal analyser delivers quick, reliable results and is completely non-destructive. The gold testing kit tests the purity and chemistry of gold and other precious metals with unmatched simplicity, performance, features and portability.

The Niton DXL benefits include:
  • Completely non-destructive testing with instant analysis
  • Results shown on colour, touchscreen display
  • Identification for 21 elements including all grades of gold and precious metals
  • Suitable for jewellery, coins, chains, rings, etc
  • Viewing windows both sides for visibility
  • Push-of the-button simplicity of operation

The DXL analyser arrives fully calibrated and ready to use. The closed-beam design prevents x-ray exposure to customers and operators plus the front and rear windows reveal an LED illuminated sample chamber.

The compact, portable design and AC or battery-powered operation allows easy movement within the shop or to remote locations, creating a personal field laboratory for a dependable gold test. Results are displayed on a colour, touchscreen display and tailored certificates of authenticity can be printed as required.

Niton UK is the market leader for handheld instruments analysing metal alloys, precious metals, hazardous material and plastic polymers. We represent Thermo Scientific Niton XRF XL analysers, TSI's ChemLite LASER handheld analysers and SPECTROSCOUT benchtop XRF analyser.
