How it works:
The NITON PMA uses an Am241 isotope for efficient excitation of all the platinum and gold alloys. The Am241
isotope has a half-life of 431 years. There will be no perceptible loss
of testing speed, and no re-sourcing required during the working life
of the instrument. Accurate analysis of virtually any metal, with no
user-required standardizations or calibrations, high resolution silicon
PiN-diode detector (< 280 eV FWHM) and full fundamental parameters
analysis.
